Programs

Conversations designed to lead somewhere.

The Fifteen Bridges programs are designed to turn international connection into practical learning, mentoring, shared ideas and meaningful collaboration.

The Program Philosophy

Connect.
Exchange.
Apply.

Every program should create new perspective, useful knowledge or a meaningful next step.

How We Think About Programs

Not activity for activity's sake.

The Fifteen Bridges is designed to be practical and action-oriented rather than simply another international discussion group.

Members should leave meetings with new knowledge, useful contacts, stronger relationships and ideas they can adapt within their own countries and communities.

Programs are therefore structured around exchange, reflection and the possibility of meaningful follow-through.

The Monthly Rhythm

A simple structure that keeps the network connected.

The founding network is designed to meet regularly without creating unnecessary complexity or excessive demands on members' schedules.

01 / FORMAL MEETING

Monthly Zoom Session

One 90-minute formal virtual meeting each month focused on connection, cultural exchange, leadership and collaboration.

02 / BETWEEN MEETINGS

Private Communication

A private WhatsApp group allows members to share updates, ideas and useful connections between formal sessions.

03 / SMALLER CONNECTIONS

Focused Conversations

Members with shared interests may connect in smaller groups for deeper discussion, mentoring or project development.

Inside a Monthly Meeting

Ninety minutes with a purpose.

Each formal session is designed to balance personal connection, cultural learning, leadership discussion and practical collaboration.

Meeting leadership can rotate so every member has an opportunity to facilitate, contribute and introduce her country.

10
Welcome & Personal Check-In Begin with a brief opportunity to reconnect personally.
10
Cultural Spotlight One member introduces an aspect of her country, culture or community.
20
Main Leadership Topic A focused presentation, experience or leadership issue.
25
Exchange of Experience Members compare successful practices, failures and lessons learned.
15
Collaboration Opportunities Identify introductions, shared priorities or opportunities to work together.
10
Commitments & Next Steps Close with announcements, commitments and preparation for the next meeting.
Topics We Can Explore

Real questions from real leadership experience.

The program is designed around issues that women encounter in different forms across countries, professions and communities.

01

Entrepreneurship & Access to Capital

Compare how women build businesses and access financial opportunity in different countries.

02

Leadership & Mentoring

Share approaches to leadership development and the importance of strong mentoring relationships.

03

Education & Workforce Development

Explore how education and professional training shape opportunity for women.

04

Professional & Family Responsibilities

Discuss how women navigate career, family and cultural expectations in different societies.

05

Public Service & Participation

Exchange experiences related to government, public service and participation in civic life.

06

Negotiation & Conflict Resolution

Learn how women approach difficult conversations, negotiation and conflict across different environments.

07

Technology & Digital Inclusion

Explore technology's role in expanding or limiting access to opportunity.

08

Community & Nonprofit Leadership

Share models for building effective and sustainable community organizations.

09

Barriers & Discrimination

Discuss cultural and institutional barriers honestly while learning from different approaches to change.

How We Share Successful Practices

Every story should reveal the lesson behind the result.

Members are encouraged to discuss not only success, but also approaches that failed and the lessons learned from them.

The objective is not to copy programs blindly. It is to identify the principles behind an approach and consider how those principles might be adapted elsewhere.

01
What challenge were you trying to solve? Define the real problem before discussing the solution.
02
What approach did you use? Explain the strategy, process or program clearly.
03
What worked, and what did not? Share successes and setbacks with equal honesty.
04
What might another country adapt? Identify transferable principles rather than assuming the same solution works everywhere.
The Founding Year

A twelve-month journey from trust to results.

The first year is intentionally progressive. The network begins by building relationships before moving into deeper knowledge exchange and collaborative work.

Months 1–3

Build Trust

Introductions, personal leadership stories, country and cultural presentations, expectations and shared values.

Months 4–6

Exchange Knowledge

Leadership challenges, entrepreneurship, financing, mentoring and successful practices from different countries.

Months 7–9

Develop Collaboration

Identify shared priorities, form small working groups and develop simple collaborative initiatives.

Months 10–12

Produce Results

Complete collaborative work, document lessons, evaluate the network and determine what should come next.

A Possible First Collaborative Project

Women's Wisdom Across Cultures.

One possible first-year initiative is an annual digital publication that preserves the distinct voice and experience of every country represented in the network.

The publication could become a tangible example of what The Fifteen Bridges is designed to do: turn individual experience into knowledge that can travel across borders.

Each Member Could Contribute

One voice. One country. One piece of shared wisdom.

One successful practice from her country.
One leadership lesson from personal experience.
One cultural tradition or value that has shaped her.
One recommendation for expanding opportunities for women.
One message to the next generation of women leaders.
What Programs Should Produce

The measure of a strong program is what members can use afterward.

The goal is not simply attendance. Programs should create knowledge, relationships and opportunities that continue beyond the meeting itself.

01 / KNOWLEDGE

Useful Insight

Members gain ideas, practices and perspectives they can adapt within their own environments.

02 / RELATIONSHIPS

Stronger Connections

Meetings create trusted relationships, mentoring and professional introductions across countries.

03 / ACTION

Meaningful Follow-Through

The strongest conversations lead to practical next steps, shared initiatives or support for women beyond the network.

The purpose of a program is not simply to fill a calendar. It is to create something members can carry forward.

Become Part of the Conversation

Bring your experience into the program.

The strength of every discussion depends on members who are willing to share honestly, listen carefully and contribute what they know.
